Rules and conditions governing use of the IPAWAS platform

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the IPAWAS platform at ipawas.org (the "Platform"), operated by the Investment Promotion Agencies of West Africa Secretariat ("IPAWAS", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About the Platform

IPAWAS is a regional initiative under ECOWAS that connects global investors with Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) across West Africa. The Platform provides information about investment opportunities, member states, IPA services, knowledge resources, and related tools. It is intended for investors, IPA professionals, researchers, and partners.

Information on the Platform is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice. Investment decisions involve risks; you should conduct your own due diligence and seek professional advice before making any investment. IPAWAS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on the Platform.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, including member IPA websites and external resources. These links are provided for convenience only. IPAWAS has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites.

7. IPA Portal Accounts

IPA staff accounts are created by invitation only. Account holders are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for all activity carried out under their account. You must notify IPAWAS immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. IPAWAS may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or are no longer active.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IPAWAS and its member IPAs shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including reliance on any information provided herein. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

We aim to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the ECOWAS Secretariat and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after the revised terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
